Having spent considerable time in the corporate world working for major brands such as GE, Santander, Barclays, Barclaycard, Prudential, Assurant and Gocompare.com we are experts at appraising businesses quickly, effectively and more importantly, helping with the difficult bit…effecting change.
Formed in early 2015 having identified a skills gap in the SME insurance market we bring an array of global best practice to the table across a number of functional disciplines. Whether its getting more people to consider your product, or the design of the actual product itself, we can help. We have a specific approach, which put simply, is highly effective.
We have grown up in the digital age, we understand it intimately….if you have a ‘digital strategy’ in 2016 we're afraid you have missed the point.
Whilst we like writing reports as much as the next consultancy we know from experience that most businesses understand many of their issues but lack the manpower, expertise and sometimes inclination to change.
We’re not a typical consultancy, we'll simply be the experts you need without the cost that you don’t.
I am a proud Welshman and for my sins have over 20 year’s experience within financial services at Barclays Bank Plc followed by a further 6 years as Head of Product at Gocompare.com.
I hire good people and get out of their way, love building highly effective teams, and thrive on helping develop people on both a personal and professional basis.
I am passionate about helping companies, and I care too much, which, depending on your outlook is either a quality or a flaw. I like to think it’s the former.
We started this thing because we are passionate about helping organisations develop and, even though we are less than 2 years in, we are amassing a reputation for helping companies grow. We have a lot of very satisfied clients which we are immensely proud of.
My significant experience in the corporate world, together with working for privately owned businesses, has helped give me a really balanced view on the commercial world.

We can write reports with the best of them, in fact just let Matt at it, but we know that report writing alone doesn’t actually drive the tangible value many business leaders crave.
We know from experience that most businesses already understand many of their shortcomings and whilst a consultancy delivering a 100 page document may help cement some of their thinking it doesn’t actually get stuff done.
Therefore we will provide you with written reports, but they will be simple. They will highlight our findings based on our experience around your business over those first few days. They will provide you with a clear plan around next steps, what we feel your priorities should be in the short, medium and long term, and how to deliver against them.
We love to get our hands dirty. We understand that many businesses that need a little help and direction just lack the manpower, the expertise, the confidence and sometimes even the inclination to deliver the changes required.
And whilst we would love nothing more than to help you deliver the ideal solution for your business, we often find that the drive for perfection can hinder your short term progress so don’t let perfect get in the way of progress.
We believe that makes us a little different. We wouldn’t consider ourselves to be a typical consultancy business, in fact we regret having to use the word ‘consultancy’ in our business name at all. We are simply the experts you need without the costs that you don’t.

Having worked within many diverse businesses it’s fair to say we’ve seen most things. Few businesses do everything perfectly and having new problems to solve are a normal everyday occurrence. Having returned from travelling in Australia for 12 months in my very early twenties I almost embarked on a career in recruitment…but, thankfully chose a junior position working for GE Money’s consumer finance business. I quickly figured out the art and power of networking and rose through the ranks at a rapid pace as a result. That was almost 15 years ago and today I have worked in senior roles for companies such as Prudential, Assurant Europe, HSBC, Santander and most recently Gocompare.com.
I am fascinated with commerce and see my commercial acumen as the quality that I am most proud of. I love strategy and use experience from the coalface to design and execute them…..as good as text books are, you just can’t beat experience.
I have developed award winning products, deployed highly successful marketing campaigns and had major success growing insurance P&L’s.
More importantly though, I am a family man with strong values.
